im sitting in a little cafe (which here means a bar which opens early and can give you toast) sipping oj and inhaling the fresh gas fumes. there are cars and scooters everywhere and its so true that they drive like maniacs. organized maniacs, but still, crazy.
we had a very long trip, followed by our cab/limo not being able to find our villa. lisa and i were starving and incredibly tired but eventually he called the villa owner who let us in. once we were settled, i cleaned myself up (a shower felt fantastic) and we wandered into the villiage.
we wandered down a side street and discovered a little restaurant with a little wood oven and a lot of noise coming out. the menu seemed good so we stopped in. what an experience! he was so nice and just kept bringing us food! chili lamb cheese, huge fresh olives, salad, sauteed veggies, bread, wine, pizza and steak. i ate the cheese, salad and veggies,a nibble of an olive and steak. i also had a coke light instead of wine because i was feeling pretty gross from all the flying. on the way home lisa stopped for gelatto so we wandered into this small bar with pastries. i wasnt that interested in the pastries but i did have some sweet merringues.
we're off soon for our capri boat cruise. im a little concerened about what they'll have for food but im sure ill be able to find somethung :) at this point, its not about losing weight, its abiut not feeling sick
